The day has finally arrived!
Today is the day that our family will be headed off to California. Bags are packed, the van is rented, all of the food is ready and waiting to be stuffed into coolers. My guitar will be joining us as well, which is incredibly exciting. Its amazing how much stuff you need for a 2 week trip away from home. And the ironic thing is, we Cuevas’ are known for packing light. And we have. I can’t really imagine how much stuff some of you other people will take! No wonder other people complain!
As you keep checking where we are, how and what we’re doing and all the silly things in between, keep in mind that you are part of this trip. It is a FAMILY vacation, after all. We can’t stress enough how much we want you to be part of our experiences of the somewhat unknown. This trip is for all of us to enjoy, and hopefully it will give you a refreshing time of vacation for the 5 minutes it takes to log on and read our posts, look through our pictures and watch our videos.
Before we go, we want to thank everyone who’s been praying, and will continue praying, for us on the trip. Its the family vacation of a lifetime. And the best part is, you’re part of it too.
with much love,
aimee nicole

Hey guys, I’m so excited for you. I know that you will never forget this vacation. I know that my family and I still talk about our three week road trip in a motor home. I can’t wait to see some pics. I’ll be praying for the Lord to amaze you guys with His creation. Love you guys.
Hey -
This is a cool idea! We can’t wait for you guys to get here. Give us an idea what route you’re planning on taking and we’ll tell you about a few of the places that we visited.
George,
Have a ball and enjoy the time with your family.
God speed,
John
Oh, forgot to mention – we got plenty of room for you to stay as many nights as you want and get fully rested up for the road! Looks like you’ll be through here around Jenna’s B-day so we’ll have plenty of excuses to celebrate! And you guys can surprise Hallie and Joey when you show up at our door!
Drive safe and God bless!
Steve

Hey, I don’t know if I just really miss my hubby or that I am reaaly excited for your family bonding time. or the fact that my sisters and I have been together since the death of my grandpa, But I am crying as I read amiee’s post.
Girl’s I can’t stress enough the blast you are going to have. I took a 2 week cali road trip with my parent’s and my sisters,( me and the older one crossed path for only a couple of days) I was already in college and she was in med school.
But it was one of those vacations that as long as i live i will remember. Card games till we couldn’t see, remembering stories of other trip and making knew one along the way.
hearing our parents telling us baby stories, and stories we had forgotten.
Annoying each other, and smelling everyone’s bodly functions. (not good) but real.
Loving each each other and just hanging out. We couldn’t run away or just say wait a minute i’ll be right there.
It was really cool.
Yosemite (however you spell it) park was awesome!!
That famous jail alsomething educational.
But mostly hanging out.
My the Lord Bless you, keep you safe, have your love for another grow even more, and show you something knew about each other.
Oh and of course one of my now all time favorites, my he use you as a family to impact others, you never know who you are going to cross paths with out there keep your eyes open for Jesus!!!!!!
Love you guys!!!!!!!
